Manufactured Home Installation in Asheville and Western North Carolina

Based in Asheville, NC, Quartz Transport & Install offers turn-key manufactured home installation throughout the Asheville and WNC region. As the first and only turn-key installer in the region, our teams offer a uniquely efficient and low-stress approach to home installation.

As a turn-key specialist, QTI handles all steps of the manufactured home installation process in-house, and with one point of contact, including:

  • Demolition of damaged or condemned homes when a site requires it
  • Site preparation
  • Footers
  • Transport of single-wide and double-wide homes
  • Home set and installation, including placement, leveling, anchoring, and structural securing
  • Skirting
  • Interior trim
  • Exterior trim and siding completion
  • Decking, porches, steps, and ramps

Our Asheville office is well-versed in mountainous terrain and skilled in navigating the challenges associated with transporting and installing a home on steep, sloping, and hard-to-reach sites.

Mountain expertise

The terrain in this region adds complexity to manufactured home installation. Mountain driveways and access roads often have limited width, overhead clearance, turning radius, or grade, and sites that are not flat are the norm rather than the exception. Soil conditions across the region include saprolite, red clay, sandy loam, and rock-shelf sites, each of which presents different considerations under load and through the wet seasons. Footers and foundation work are part of our in-house scope, which keeps the entire installation under one company and one schedule.

Projects we handle

Manufactured home installations in our service area fall into a few common project types. QTI is regularly engaged for:

  • Individual installations on private land
  • Multi-unit installations for new and expanding manufactured home communities
  • Direct-to-site deliveries for manufacturers needing a regional turn-key install partner
  • On-site execution for retailers who sell the home and hand off the installation to a specialist team

Disaster recovery

QTI is an authorized FEMA and NCORR contractor, and we have served as a turn-key install partner for the disaster recovery work taking place across Western North Carolina following Hurricane Helene. Our teams set the first home delivered through the RenewNC program for a family affected by Helene, and we continue to perform installations alongside Samaritan’s Purse and other recovery partners across the region.

About QTI

Quartz Transport & Install is a licensed set contractor and an authorized manufactured home dealer based in Asheville, NC. With full-time, in-house professionals, we install single and double wide manufactured homes throughout Asheville and the Western North Carolina region. If needed, as an authorized dealer, we can also help clients procure a home. Our involvement in a project can begin at any point, including before a home has been purchased.

We built our business around the turn-key model because the alternative left customers coordinating a string of separate vendors, navigating handoffs between them, and managing a disjointed schedule. A single team working under one schedule and one point of contact makes the installation process more efficient and less stressful for the client.

QTI is a Quartz Properties company. Together, the Quartz Properties companies deliver innovative housing solutions across the Southeast. Alongside QTI, the Quartz Properties companies include Quartz Modular, which provides modular set work and modular general contracting for builders, developers, and housing organizations; Quartz Communities, a residential community developer; and Quartz Rebuild, an agency and non-profit partner for repair and retrofit solutions.
